Furthermore, in order to ensure the protection of those we support, our organization has implemented  a variety of clear protocols both internally and externally. Above all, the children in our Sacramento ABA therapy center are provided with a safe setting that is strengthened by ethical and empathetic methodologies.

HIPAA

Here at Sacramento ABA Therapy, safeguarding and disclosing our patients’ Protected Health Information (PHI) is of utmost importance. We make a sincere commitment to keep all current, former, and prospective client information secure by storing it in encrypted digital records or securely locked storage containers on site. Our team members and staff have been trained to continuously prioritize the protection of customer data.

What is PHI?

PHI, also known as Protected Health Information, is medical information that can be accessed by both internal and external sources for identification purposes. This type of data usually includes an individual’s name, date of birth, and SSN, and it cannot be shared with any outside individuals or organizations unless the person gives their consent or as required by law.

Notice of Privacy Practices

All individuals who are served by Sacramento ABA Therapy must be provided with a Notice of Privacy Practices document. We reserve the right to amend our Privacy Policy, including procedures related to the management of healthcare data at our facility. Should any changes be made, an updated version will be accessible in the Forms section on our website.

Utilization of Medical Records:

Sacramento ABA Therapy employs clinical records to record medical information, create care and treatment plans, and adhere to the institute’s ongoing healthcare procedures. For instance, we may need to provide the insurer with specific information on the treatments and diagnoses administered to our patients in order to bill for our services. Any other healthcare facilities or insurance plans that review your records must also follow the same confidentiality regulations and policies mandated by Sacramento ABA Therapy.

  • We can submit claims to your insurance provider that may contain personal medical information.
  • For treatment, we have the option to reach out to their utilization review department and request pre-approval.
  • In case the provided address is no longer valid, we may use the emergency contact information previously given to communicate with you.
  • Additionally, we may send you reminders about upcoming sessions through postcards or phone calls.
  • We may also inquire with you about exploring other healthcare options or benefits that could be advantageous for you. Overall, we strive to ensure effective communication and utilization of resources for your benefit.
